UPDATE

I figured when I have more than one topic to discuss I will call them my UPDATES!
Halloween is now over! Wow did it sure fly by! We had a great time with family and friends that came to trick-or-treat with us Saturday night. We all ordered pizza for dinner. Evalyn and I made dirt with worms for a special Halloween treat for Everyone! Evalyn, Vivian, and my niece Lily had a blast trick-or-treating! I wasn't sure how Vivian would do being that shes just 19 months old. But she never sees to amaze me! She got right up there held out her bucket and said "trick-or-treat"! When she walked away she even said "thank you!" My princess Evalyn was Cinderella and Vivian was a leopard! They were tuckered out and in bed after some candy. Now for a cute story, Vivian woke up that night at 2:00am. Hendrick walked into her room and she says "trick-or-treat". Too cute!!!
Now that Halloween is over, My four year old, think we should decorate for Christmas already! I told her we have to wait till after Thanksgiving, and explained to her what it's all about. She finally understands that we have to GIVE for Thanksgiving and that we don't receive presents. So my family and I are very excited for the holidays! I cannot wait to start Christmas shopping and the true meaning of Christmas! Most of all Celebrating Jesus and being with family!
Evalyn is in her first year of school now! She is in preschool and a Christan school! She loves school and I'm so happy for her! Every night while we are getting ready for bed, she asks, "do I have school in the morning???" I just hope she stays this excited about school till she graduates!
On a total different note, Hendrick and I have started Marriage counseling. We have have our struggles just like every marriage does. But we feel we needed that extra help. I've finally learned it's okay to ask for that help; more so when it's to help your family grow stronger. I can't wait to see where the progress takes us!
To end with I have started a new hobby; knitting! I am in middle of knitting my first scarf. I can't wait to move on to bigger things!
Hope everyone has a blessed day!

quetions...

We all question ourselvs at some point. But what kind of questions do you ask yourself? Lately I have been wondering what love truley is between husband and wife. Is there even such thing as true love? Is there such thing as the "right" one for all of us? Does life itself revolve around love? Do you have what it takes to love a significant other?
What is happiness? Are you really happy? Do you even know what happy means? These are the questions I have been wondering. What is comunication? Does it mean something different to different people? Most of all what is FAMILY? Family to me I believe are all those words sumed up. But to me it takes TWO people to be the base of it all. But if they arn't on the same ground the base falls apart.

First post!

I'm starting this blog to write my journey towards going green! This past year we have started a few little green things. Now I'm intrigued to go green! I'm starting a lot of research and looking for good books to buy, for more knowledge. here are some ways we were going to go green and learn about in our home!

  1. recycle paper( We started last year) Also learn other ways to recycle with getting my three year old daughter involved.

  2. Start our own fresh veg. and fruit garden! ( we did a few last summer with out three year old,but I would like learn more knowledge about gardening.

  3. Go in with my parents and buy a cow that is feed grass. Where they use NO pesticides, growth hormones and steroids.

  4. Finding a farm around grand rapids where we can get organic eggs and milk. Possible fruits and veggies. also, depending on how our garden does with the little sunlight we receive.(Also think they girls would get a joy out of going to a farm to get supplies).

  5. learn to bake gluten free, make homemade(organic) foods, along with natural home remedies

  6. Learn to can( I will start that by garage sailing; finding mason jars!)

  7. Driving less when it starts to get nice out again!( we will be buying new bikes(used maybe) and a bike trailer for the girls to sit in!) We will use those for around here(short distances!

I would love advice if you have some about going green and all natural! I will post about things i research, and advice I think is good to know!

To end this post we took our girls out and pulled them in the sled this weekend. It was Vivian's first time and she Loved it! Pictures at the top!
